Job Description
Verisk is seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer to design, develop, and support innovative software solutions that drive our global data analytics capabilities. You’ll work on impactful projects that help clients make faster, smarter decisions about risk — supported by a team of experienced engineers and industry leaders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software applications for customers.
- Analyze code to determine causes of errors and revise programs as needed.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.
- Learn to author technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements.
- Refine, test, and debug programs as assigned.
- Enhance knowledge of Verisk’s products and services to deliver high-quality solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of software development experience (Product company experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with OOP concepts, preferably with C# .NET.
- Proficiency in JavaScript.
- Good understanding of relational databases (SQL Server or similar).
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Understanding of abstract data structures and relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Professional demeanor and a collaborative mindset.
