Job Summary
Join EPAM India as a Junior Software Engineer (Trainee) and start your journey with one of the world’s leading digital transformation and platform engineering companies. Through an intensive 5-month training program, you’ll gain hands-on experience and industry-ready skills to build innovative, scalable, and high-performance software solutions. Upon successful completion, you’ll transition into a full-time engineering role at EPAM.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
- Build and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Contribute to all phases of the SDLC — from planning and coding to testing and deployment.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices.
- Automate repetitive tasks using industry-standard scripting and frameworks.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance testing for system reliability.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to enhance product quality.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (Data Structures, Algorithms, OOP).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Familiarity with Git and build automation tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to EPAM’s values — Excellence, Teamwork, and Responsibility.
- Willingness to work from any EPAM India location post training.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: BE/B.Tech (CSE/IT) or MCA – Minimum 70% aggregate
- 10th & 12th Marks: Minimum 60% each
- Graduation Year: 2025
- Backlogs: No active backlogs
- Education Gap: No gap between 10th and 12th; Max 1 year between 12th and graduation
