Role Overview
As a Software Engineer I at Tower Research Capital, you’ll contribute to developing and maintaining Tower’s Post Trade Platform tools — covering trade capture, reconciliation, P&L, compliance, and regulatory systems. This role offers the opportunity to work with global teams on cutting-edge financial systems that demand performance, scalability, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the firm’s post-trade tools and data systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Work on scalable, high-performance backend systems for reconciliation, risk, and compliance.
- Drive innovation in the next generation of middle- and back-office technology solutions.
- Ensure system reliability and robustness for global financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science from a top university.
- 0–3 years of software development experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in Python and Java; familiarity with Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL systems (MongoDB, ElasticSearch) is a plus.
- Understanding of financial instruments such as equities, derivatives, or crypto is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
