Amazon – Associate, ML Data Operations (GO-AI Operations)

Job Description

This team enables automation at Amazon Robotics Fulfillment Centers by supporting internal Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics teams through real-time and offline (image/video) data auditing services. The primary goal is to enhance automation and maintain inventory accuracy across fulfillment centers.

An Associate in this role will watch short video clips of stowing actions in fulfillment centers, interpret the activity accurately, and verify product locations using specialized tools. This position demands precision, consistency, and focus while reviewing visual data, contributing directly to stow quality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review hundreds of short video clips per shift and identify the correct product placement with high accuracy.
  • Use internal tools to verify or mark product locations in fulfillment centers.
  • Meet performance goals related to accuracy, speed, and adherence to operational practices.
  • Maintain 6.8–7 productive hours per day dedicated to video auditing tasks.
  • Adhere to scheduled breaks and productivity targets.
  • For virtual associates: ensure a dedicated and secure workspace with appropriate lighting, and restrict access to work-related data.

Required Skills & Expectations

  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
  • High attention to detail and ability to interpret blurry or unclear visuals accurately.
  • Willingness to work in a non-technical operational role for the contract duration.
  • Capability to handle image/video/text-based audit tasks.
  • Consistency in meeting incremental quality and productivity goals.
  • Comfortable working in rotational shifts, including night shifts and weekends.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Must be willing to turn on the laptop camera during virtual meetings.

A Day in the Life

Associates work in a 24x7 operational environment with rotational shifts of approximately 9 hours (including breaks). Shift schedules change every 3–4 months or based on business needs. Night shift allowance is provided as per Amazon’s policy. Employees receive two consecutive weekly offs (not necessarily weekends).

About the Team

The Data Auditing Operations team provides human-in-the-loop validation for automation at fulfillment centers. Associates audit short videos (15–20 seconds) to ensure accuracy in the stowing process, thereby improving robotic efficiency. Audit results enhance machine learning model effectiveness and help reduce operational defects. Associates are regularly evaluated for performance improvements and coaching opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Flexible to work different shifts, weekends, or holidays as per business requirements.
  • Strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet productivity metrics in a structured environment.
